Bush(Won) Kerry(Zero)

Election day will be upon us tomorrow,
the television is full of hoopla and noise,
the Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry,
flip flops,  always whining like a little boy.

Bush is from Texas and has a  southern twang,
standing his ground he never wavers or gives in,
his belief in God almighty is in his heart,
vote for Bush motherhood and babies will also win.

George Bush is a compassionate conservative,
a vote for him will means no child left behind,
a Bush, Cheney  victory will mean homeland security,
vote for Kerry, Edwards, are you out of your mind?

Now I admit Kerry, Edwards have the better hairdos,
and they are better at projecting that phony smile,
Bush shoots straight from the hip just like his daddy,
Kerry is a bleeding heart liberal, living in denial.

Our troops honor George Bush as their commander,
John Kerry is a man without any convictions at all,
vote for a man who loves his country and has integrity,
A vote for Bush will keep America standing tall.

  • Had I read this back in 2004 I would of seconded your opinion, but for now....well, I think most people agree that things need a change. That's as far as politics. As far as poetry goes, GREAT JOB!

Thanks so much for reading and commenting on my poem It is always appreciated. I have voted Demacratic at times but Clinton soured my mind with his morals. I was hoping they would run a more moderate Demacrate that I could have voted for. Thanks for your opinion, always welomed. Take care, Sandy

oh wow , I am not sure how to comment on this For I am a democrat and i have been called a bleeding heart ( and it was meant as a compliment) I do not leave any child behind , I feed one that has no food and clothe one that is not warm . I rescue animals and I support and cry for our troops in Iraq . The difference between me and Bush is that he only found his socalled humanity after many years of boozing and carousing ...and I have been this way all my life. So please do not be offended that I am a little preturbed by this. Being liberal is not always a bad thing ( as a matter of fact we have a tendency to look at both ends of the coin ) and nothing is ever all black or all white...there are shades of grey to be considered too,
    respectfully
