The Other Side Of You

Letting go of all my hurtful memories,
is always easier sad then done,
forgiveness  always seems impossible,
when you loved one has taken away the sun.

The look in your eyes is so very deceiving,
who are you today, Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde,
your split personality drives me insane,
who are you today, I'll have to decide.

I did not know I was married to a monster,
sometimes I feel like Frankenstein's bride,
if the doctors had to operate on your head,
they would not find many brains inside.

You suck the life out of me like a vampire,
draining my emotions so weak I give in,
another day fighting my battle for survival,
defeated once more, I surrender, you win.

Love and hate are emotionally intertwined,
causing tears of happiness and tears of pain,
each new day with life brings such uncertainty,
God bring a sunny day, take away all this rain.

Author notes

This is a poem I thought of, some truth to it,
I'm happy to say life is getting better.
I Thank God for that.

WOW! That was excellent! It really spoke of what you were going through. I am sorry that you had to go through that, but don't worry, things will start to look up. There is always someone out there for you who you will be matched with perfectly like a puzzle piece. Good Job. Keep writing.
