Drip by drop by drop by drip
They take a fall from sundered lip.
Loquaciousness gone, one final quip
Before you bow to the final rip?
No extenuating pleas or heartfelt cries?
No tenebrous thoughts to anathematize?
No somniferous sobs to hypnotise?
No meandering rants before closing your eyes?
Breathe the ash whilst I dig: to die
A luscious death, a cerebral high.
Wanton lusts slaked and never denied
Slowly or quickly; for you to decide
Will it be just a Plod or Agatha Christie
Who sifts all the minutiae of murder for me
I shoot them post-mortem, a clue don’t you see?
Creating a tale of condemned hypocrisy.
Oh mortuî nõn mordent, said Erasmus
Per ardua ad astra!. Perspicacious!
Dominus võbîscum Joyous!
Nêmõ ante mortem beãtus!
The knife descends
It ends
Amen

wow...This was absolutely excellent!! The flow was amazing, the rhyme scheme was up-to-pace with the flow...and my my, you used all the words I asked for, and it made perfect sense! A very inquisitive piece of work you have here!
Though I kind of got lost towards the ending with the Latin.. (Latin right?), I really enjoyed reading this!
Thanks for entering!!!

OH Hell....I had Latin in HS....way too long ago. Good you had the translation. I don't like this kind of write, and yours in no exception. Sorry. It is a well written poem, I just don't like reading this type of poem.

exasperatingly great!
I don't see how you can fail with all that criteria! And I'm laughing! What an awesome talent for words, even if I can't decipher them all. Latin? French? ???? Uncle! I'm getting out my dictionary. -
lol, i used all of them too but I think yours made more sense than mine did. That was good. I loved the latin stuff too. Great job, wish mine was that good, but hey I tried! lol, you should do good in this contest-good luck!
