Mental Note

Mental Note: Don’t Forget to Die
But I have so much to do
Cant I just sleep for a minute?
Why's everything got to be permanent?
Set in stone
Let a river of blood erode that stone
And let me sleep for a thousand years
Then maybe I'll be old enough
To go one, without the need to cry
Without the want to die

Author notes

I was reading an Allpoetry poets poem, unfortunatly I can't remember the name, but at one point they said "mental note: dont forget to die", this is just plain what I thought after reading it. Not much flow or rhyme, but that's how I think.

Ya I thought the first line funny, then read into it a little. Happy cynisism, the best kind.

    Great!

It may not be meant for laughter, but I found that funny... With the mental note and all. I thought it was interesting... Very interesting...
