El Dia De Los Muertos/The Day Of The Dead

the day of the dead is coming
we must prepare
the candy skulls
the wondrous feast
the memorial must be prepared!!
andale!andale!
quickly!quickly!
no time to waste it'll be here soon
Tu abulea va esta anojada si no tiene su pastel!
Esta muerta pero que importa?!
your grandmother Will be furious if she doesn't have her cake!
what does it matter if she's dead?!
the dead come revisit once a year
we make them a feast and lay it upon their grave
surrounded by candles to guide their way
pastel!
carne!
tacitos!
para ellos pueden estar muy ellitos!
cake!
meat!
tacos!
so that they may be well fed!
the children run trying to sneak some candy skulls for themselves
up and down the busy streets to buy ingredients for favorite foods
El dia de los muertos ya viene!
the day of the dead is coming!
tenemos que prepara!
we must prepare!
los dulces!
the candies!
andale al cemetario!
quickly to the cemetery!!
El dia de los muertos!!
the day of the dead!!

I think the Day of the Dead is one of the best traditions. A day to remember and honor your relatives. I try to always leave something out for my relatives. No one knows what im doing but im sure they do. I enjoyed this very much

LOL Oh now...I doesn't stink at all. Actually I found it to be quite a good piece. It painted a great picture of the feast of the dead, as well as the feelings surrounding it, in a very busy and authentic style. Personally I think you did a grand job of it, hurried or not! I really enjoyed reading it and thank you for writing it. It's a gem! Best of luck to you in the contest. Blessings, Gypsy
