The challenge

Missing image
Paint me a picture,
Or tell me a rhyme;

Give me your colours,
and I'll give you mine;

Show me your weaknesses,
let innocence show;

Let me protect you,
and help you to grow;

sharing together, is beauty
and pain;

Poetry beckons, together
we gain.......

    This is exquisite. You have spoken volumes in such few words. You have a gift for being creatively expressive and I do so enjoy reading you. Your work is timeless.

    uh......wow, someone's really into their own work... i actually liked this piece. it rhymed and didn't seem offkey like some of the rhymes i've read. great job with that. the subject matter was tight and didn't stray so great job for that. i give it a 10...

    I have already used this comment today with regards to another poem, but I feel as though this deserves the same recognition. This poem has a very classical feel to it. Rhyming can be very difficult, but there is a potential to cheapen it by using obvious words in conjunction with one another. However, I see no use of such methods here, and that just makes the piece all the better. Thoroughly enjoyed your creation here, thank-you.

    A definitive piece on the joys of poetry. Giving back to us the message of importance that is stricken by the pen and how for humanity it is a need and not just something to be thoughtful about.

    You grew this image withing me and I feel proud to have been blessed with such.

    I raise my glass in toast to poetry and all the poets who etch their pen to paper.

    much love,
    James
