Peace

When Mary6 trills her sonnets
As a picture painted in words and phonics
Her visions lure your mind to be
Involved and journeying
Forever free
To garner knowledge and images borne
As a game to play, from reality torn
To float and wander down paths of flight
To follow the ephemeral moments she types
And gently laid down
Finally replete
When you sit pondering
As mind to mind we meet
And the symbiotic way
Eyes and words defeat
Ignorance and loss
Through poetry
Peace.

I have to second MagicLady... I too have just started reading Mary6 and actually it's because of MagicLady that I am doing so! She has bragged about this wonderful sonnets coming from that corner of AP so I have peaked in occasionally with the intention of delving deeper when time allows. This is beautiful Mike! Good luck in the contest!

What a lovely write this is. I just recently started reading Mary's work...as well as yours. Funny....both of you had something to do with birds...birds...did someone mention birds?

Great tribute to a great writer. She took a gold from that contest, but I am guessing you knew that!

This is a very sweet poem for someone I do not know very well, but seems very wonderful indeed. It is always so nice to be able to write something nice for someone else, isn't it? I wish you the best of luck in this contest.

    True!

Mike, this is beautiful. Mary couches her wisdom and insight in lovely iambic meter and rhyme. She is rising above hard experience and personal darkness to bring light to AP. Your last 4 lines are particularly wonderful in describing her. Well done!
