Coffee please
pour one for me
I need to come alive.
That strong aroma
will shake this coma
that is in my mind.
A cup of Java
thick as lava
in the morning time.
Nice and quiet
no kids to riot
still darkness in the sky.
A steaming mug
for this tired lug
must get to work on time.
Run for the door
slide on the floor
as I turn back around.
Back to the pot
for coffee hot
to fill my travel mug.
Back out the door
I head once more
I needed one more cup.

Hi my name is Rob and I'm from Ontario, Canada. My favorite coffee shop is all over Canada. Tim Horton's. They are all alike, friendly, busy and always great coffee. Their drive through is always lined up also. I write everywhere whenever the mood hits, day or night. I swear they put something in their coffee 
. I know people who get up in the morning and drive there to get their coffee rather than make their own. So that must be saying something right there! Timmy's coffee is like a travelling companion. Just ask any coffee drinking canuck, they will tell you.

This is cute and I enjoyed it but let me see where I am with how many poems I now have included in the manuscript. My reservation is that this may be too similar to others I already have in.
