    Beautiful ! Don't touch it!

Ah! What a beautiful haiku indeed. I loved the imagery here and the reference to the old cat as "sensei" - marvellous work! I can visualise this without a problem. The underlying message also rings out loud that one must train the next generation to the best of their knowledge and skill, and, prepare them to face the world. A deep haiku written with a remarkable lightness!

    Thank you for sharing

Awww, this so made me miss my kitty!! It made me laugh in remembrance of all the cats I've had and kittens and just how cute they are when they play...even as adults...they never fully lose that kitten playfullness! A good example for us humans to live by!! Thanks for this!

Terry, I love your comment and reply haiku! Regards to your son for using his knowledge to give children the tools with which not only to protect themselves, but the inner strength to face life's challenges. He seems to follow his mother's path of enriching the lives of our youth!

    Thank you,

    Melinda

Because my older son has lived the sensei life for a quarter century or so, putting his stamp on jiu jitsu as a way of self-defense among kids who will never be bullied, this amused me in its resemblance.

    Wisdom of old cat
    knowing all exigencies
    passing to her young

    *LOL*

Thanks, Mari! It's really so funny to watch, especially when they do the little butt wiggle before the dash and pounce!
Normally aloof, Artemis is an old softie when it comes to kittens; he's very gentle with them.

I'm so glad you liked this.

    Love to you,
