Red feeders hung so neatly on porches and trees
Already for feeding
As hummingbirds are flowing free
With wings so vastly speeding
The way they dance and hover amazes
As if they're standing still
While on the syrup they are gazing
I watch from my window sill
Their feathers pulls in light rays
Through prisms they're now in hues
Accept for on the rainy days
I see much more than a few
The red syrup that they use for feed
Replenishes all their power
Or find the nectar that they need
In my garden of flowers
Their so so small exquisite and impressive
It would make you think
How they are just so aggressive
Because they are faster than we blink
I love to sit and observe
Them feeding from their stacks
They quickly fill up their reserve
Making me feel so relaxed

I think my brother and sister-in-law would really appreciate this one. The have bird-feeders for the very purpose of attracting birds to watch.
Once again you paint a vivid picture the puts the reader there with you and lets the reader see through your eyes. -
well I know why I missed this one, it was written during the time I was out and not a part of AP. But again, you have such an amazing talent for writing about nature. I too love to watch hummingbirds...their wings flapping sooo fast, the hovering over a flower, their long beaks...just peaceful to watch them...no matter how fast their wings go, you can still see their bodies..and that is unique.
another amazing write dear friend

Humming Birds are so very beautiful. Yet so tiny and delicate. I love them. They remind me of when I used to live in texas when I was 8. They would flutter around I would watch them with a huge goofy smile on my face. This Beautiful just beautiful -
