His face-
the skies
with a million Eyes.
Hands-
sightless spindles in orbit
from which I am formed and held.
Arms-
the Trees
once impaled to a narrow slaughter
ascending upward to pray for me.
Shoulders -
mountains that hold the earth’s sphere
my burdens-yours,
his, hers.
Breath-
the wind to my nostrils,
transparent force fondling all of
nature’s dress.
Feet-
clouds
massive dust that boot His ever walk
strolling through, away, and upside down.
Skin-
the hallowed ground
touching these feet to direct my path.
Tears-
the sea
filled from man’s rejections
but the very same waters
richly spiced with healing grace.
Heart-
the love,Emmanuel
all around and with us,
never separate in his presence-
earth’s globe, His body exposed on
the brown foyer before the Throne.
"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord" Psalm 150:6

A beautiful write, message and presentation. Lovely form. Excellent imagery, flow and tone. Lovely depth of feeling. Vivid descriptives. Very good word choice. Strong alliteration, very nice assonance. Your faith shines through in this piece. Well crafted and a much enjoyed read.

You have just been Hoodwinked by a member of The Poetic Bandits.

This is so beautiful, Cookie. Such a solemn poem, yet full of life. The poetic form and the background seem to flow as a part of each other.
I'm so impressed with this, all of it...form, presentation, meaning. You know, Diane, as I was reading this I felt as if I were walking along with Jesus, up that dusty road, him laboring under the weight of the cross which later bore his weakened body for all to see, to bow down to.
I've never had a poem effect me quite like this one before. It's truly a wonderful piece.
luv and

Best one today....
Wow, now this is really good, I loved this poem so much, I also have a lot poetry to do with our Lord, if you look through a lot of these peoples stuff, you'll see they really don't have many poetry about our Father. Now if you or anyone else was to take a look, you would see, I have many of them. I loved your work and keep it up, May the Lord always be with you
Stay safe now and do everything the way it should be done...

This is enchanting, inspirational and full of warm fuzzies...
with body, heart and soul.
I especially love this part;
"Shoulders -
mountains that hold the earth’s sphere
my burdens-yours,
his, hers."
A lot of times when I read you, I find such comfort in your words, i thank you for that :-)

mmm... Each detail was wonderous. His glory falls from your writings! I can see that you're only an instrument of his will. That, above all, is the greatest testimonies in this life...
The imagery! I love how every bit of this piece built up to the final and perfect conclusion and Oh what a perfect outcry by the psalmist.
Bless you and thank you for letting 'Him' use 'you' to bless 'me'. -
My dear, you have such a wonderful way of writing that just sucks me in. I truly love reading your work when I can. I really do need to get back into reading more of it. I get such a feeling of tranquility from it.

Beautiful, whistful writing and a feeling of solace only God can bring. As I was clicking around I'd realized I hadn't been to visit you, dear Cookie, since I returned from the land of sorrowful poets. Warm
