The twilight years are fast approaching,
tranquility filters slowly into my mind,
finally, the turmoil of life is subsiding,
creating a haven, the pain is left behind.
Holding on to my thoughts for a lifetime,
surviving meaningless memories begins,
slowly letting go will mot been tranquil,
my mind keeps searching, echoing within.
From deep within, come trickling memories,
found in all my hidden silenced tears,
shooting adrenaline throughout my veins,
taunting my mind, again with all my fears.
Paintings in my mind are slowly fading,
the canvas is dimming to charcoal gray,
on the horizon, hope flashes it's signal,
twilight years and happiness begin today.
The battles of desperation has now ended,
finally, I've met and conquered my fears,
my soul is mending, with the help of God,
Lord comfort me,, in my twilight years.

You are too funny. I'm still laughing from your twilight theme song. I'm waiting for Rod Serling to pop out of my computer.I have tears from laughing. I was so serious when I wrote it, now I can't stop laughing at it.
