Author notes
I hope that this is a good example of when an 'ing word' is used effectively in haiku.
Thank you,

i like how you put soft snow in the same place as the cold hard stones, and gave them more than silence...very nice, i enjoyed this -
I love haikus and this one makes me love them more. I love ths beauty of snow but hate the fact that it's cold. If it could snow and be 70 degrees it woud be a perfect world.
This is soft, subtle and very soothing. Good luck to you in the contest!

Winter is just amazing to me. I love the freshness of the snow but the mess it leaves when melting is depressing. Silent snow at night is the most awesome of all. Very good haiku. I enjoyed the voyage it took me on. Thank you for the entry and good luck

Haikus make me giddy happy. I just love them, and this is no exception. I think it kind of leaves the reader hanging, wanting more, but that's only in a GOOD way. Snow is very meaningful to me (I dream of snow ALL the time), so this kind of hits a chord for some reason. Beautiful write.
