halloween makes you scream

Halloween brings nothing but bad dreams
haunting us until we awake with loud screams

with goblins, ghosts, witches and tricks
all chasing us with picks
you can keep running and hiding
but by the end of the night you will be crying

ypu run to the tv to get it all out of your mind
but then all you find

is jason, chucky and mr.bates
all out to get their rates

no matter where you go
you cannot avoid what halloween is going to show
or reveal
just to make you squel

your only alternative is to join and give a trick or two
and show them what you can do
to only hope and pray that they do not come your way.

Halloween is my favorite holiday. Always decking out the house and dressing up to meet those trick-or-treaters. Great job on the poem. I always get a kick out of watching the movies of the 1930's. Wolfman, Mummy, etc.

I love watching scary movies because I always have the coolest dreams afterwards. Yeah, I know, I am a weird one, but that’s just me. I liked the way you told this. Keep penning. By the way, you might want to go back and check your spelling on a couple lines.

I don't recognise Halloween - it's not as popular in Australia as in America, however I always try to keep something handy for the folk who come knocking on my door. I was out one year and they threw eggs at my windows - go figure. thank you for your entry, good luck and Welcome to AP
