Nice image, Gregg and beautiful calm picture, unlike the action of your well-done capture of your own observation moment. I see the reason for "upon" over "at the"... but perhaps "beneath" might be more accurate? I can't imagine the waves crashing UPON those cliffs, honestly. deLighting in the exchange, Daniel

I have it fixed: changed the words at the to upon will do wonders. Gregg

I love this bit of fluff. I have a quick suggestion. I know their is rules, and they are suppose to be followed in Haiku's. Wouldn't it be more smooth if you remove the in the second line? I learned that from my haiku writing group: Haiku and Tanka. The less you used of an,a,the the better.

Yes, I have written a couple of haikus since we last discussed it. Anyways, awesome bits of facts here. Plus leave it to my ap daughter irrationalmind to know about semen facts.

Well if they're going to mate at least they have the whole ocean to wash in afterwards. I'm never going swimming again. A beautiful way to put across a political point.

Everyone's missing out on this one. This is beautiful... reminds me of a somewhat gross piece of fact:

The average blue whale produces over 400 gallons of sperm when it ejaculates, but only 10% of that actually makes it into his mate. So 360 gallons are spilled into the ocean every time one unloads, and you wonder why the ocean is so salty...

awesome haiku though, beautiful picture. I want to see Ireland one day because I'm mostly Irish. Awesomely written Gregg.

Wow, no one has commented on this yet? I'm surprised. Poetic license again? I could just be counting syllables wrong too though! I love the picture and the background, but neither compares to your words. Beautiful work.
