I feel resurrected; a new life has just begun

Refusing to let anyone sway me in any direction
I’ve had enough of that, I’ve learned my lesson
About letting people tell me what’s best for me
About suppressing who I really want to be
About pushing the ones I care about away
About hiding my feelings on those rainy days

These things are behind me, in the past

OH MY GOODNESS!! Dee, I am always impressed by your spunk and thoughtful and considerate words, but this is the poem that tops it all of. This poem show heart and soul, courage and healing and a determination to stand on your own two feet and taking charge of your life. I thank you for including me in your list of people that made a difference in your life. I am touched and honored but most of all I know you won't let us down and more important, you refuse to be let down. You go girl. TWO THUMBS UP!! BRAVO!!
