~~
A new dawn has risen
I hear the birds' gentle song.
One bird sings a song
to one at a distance.
Silence fills the air
as they wait to hear the clone.
It echoes back a song it heard..
it sings a joyful tune.
Next you hear the air is full
of a birds' melodic choir.
Singing of new life
that fills the oak and maple trees.
They seem so joyful and happy
with the little ones all around.
As they sing their foreign little tunes,
there is happiness to be found.
A calming peace fills the air
not a drop of despair.

The other morning I got up extra early and went outside to sit for a while, and I just listenend to the birds wake up. It was a very spiritual experience. First I heard the mourning dove cooing, then the blue jays, the robins, some finches, sparrows, in the distance the piering call of peacocks. It was a wonderful way to start the day.

Nothing better than sitting and listening to a bird or flock of birds singing or talking to one another. Amazing what simple things life can bring....great job....Steven

Have you ever noticed Cheryl how many times we hear of a death and always hear the birds singing evidently and clearly not long after, reminding us that life goes on. Many times I’ve seen this happen, Birds life and nature make up for a beautiful inspirational thought like this one you’ve created here

thank you so much, Menohir. Nice to see you out and about these days.

Birdsong is one of the most purest forms of communication, as is human music. Technology can't create something that can be compared to it, those tunes are too magical. In my mind music as we know it originated from those early birdies.
These days you'll find many progressive musical artists that uses birdsong for inspiration, some even mimic their tunes in their music.
I just want to say, your writing is soothing.
-
Yes, this IS soothing and it captures the essence of the birdsong. You made me think of those blissful spring days when I have nothing to worry about and can just sit outside and watch the animals and listen to the birds

Beautiful
Hi,
This was so very soothing to read. You have painted such an enchanting picture with your delicate words. The imagery was beautiful and vivid...I could almost hear the warbling of birds. There is so much beauty around us, and you have presented that beauty wonderfully. Thank you for your words.

I like the way it flows also now. The poem has more life and vision now where it lacked it before. Fixing those to slow places did wonders for this!
-
Very good advice, thank you Pierre. I did add a word in there. I also added some words before the word tree. That seemed a bit bare. (ha ha)
Thanks for your help. I think it helped the poem.

well done!
MOst of this is good and flows well. This is the only spot I see that needs the most work.
" Next you hear the air is full
of a birds' choir."
I would add something between "Birds'" and "Choir". Something like Golden, sweet, lovely, ect. I think if you give this a eveness then it will move better. -
Very refreshing, lovely and soothing poem
The birds here are quiter now, but we still hear they singing their morning song. Such a pleasure to have that kind of sweet melody (not from the pigeons though
)
I enjoyed this read Chery, thanks!

A very nice poem about birds, I liked it a lot although I feel something could be done to ease the flow- unless this is a certain style? If so, I think I'll have to find out more
A great poem though, with wonderful inspiration
Keep writing- this was great

Thank you for proofing my piece, I did it in such a hurry, I shouldn't have tried to rush throught it so fast this morning. Thank you, as always, Mararet. I would not have gotten the birds' correct...I would have missed that one.

Sweet!
I like happy poems.
This is just how it is in the morning, as a single bird inspires the dawn chorus. We are lucky to have lots of trees around, so also lots of birds.
Grammar notes (erg!) The possessive of birds needs an apostrophe after the s. The possessive of they is their.
