Stenchy

I hate the way we fell apart
I wish it never happened
We use to talk everyday
We use to walk the track togher
But now it seems like a distant memory
One that never seemed to be
I loved the way you laughed with me
I loved the way you cared
And I love the way you never dared
To not interfere
You helped me through bad times
You helped me see the light
I might have tried to stop you
But it never seemed worth the try
I appreciate the way
You helped me no matter
How hard I fought
You saved me from a mistake
That I would have soon regreted
I know I was a pain
And that I'm probably the reason
Why we drifted away
But if I could do it over
I would have done it right
I woudldn't have done those things again
The things that made us fight
Stenchy I miss you very much
And if there is one last time
To speak to you
I would make the words count
I want the time to come again
When we can be friends
I want the sun to shine on us
As we laugh and chatter
Instead of the silence and darkness
That seems to come to be
I wish I could do it over
I wish I was the perfect friend
I'm sorry I wasn't
And of what I did
I should have stopped
Before it got that big
And if this were the last time I saw you again
I would shut down inside
Because you are my best friend.

Author notes

Stenchy is my best friend and this was written for her when she wasn't mad at me.  We are best friends again.  So it's all good in da hood.
