Dischordant Verse

Take a page from history,
And know we are mankind.
This world of ours, disharmony
And by it we’re defined.

Finding light; in inner darkness
Some strange truth in all our lies
Knowing, yet denying this;
The love that we despise.

Bound by our mortality,
Divided by our minds,
How powerful this sentience;
Enlightens yet it blinds.

Fallible and fragile,
We’re the strongest on this earth
We live decay and entropy
Dying from our birth.
