Smooth Operater

He's that smooth operator,
that never bothers to call,
the manipulator of words,
handsome dark and tall.

His come hither smile,
is just a pasted on grin,
he's trying to seduce you,
to his evil life of sin.

He'll wine and dine you,
then try to pull you near,
holding you so tightly,
he whispers in your ear.

This person has no feelings,
only lies consume his mind,
a wolf in sheep's clothing,
pretending to be so kind.

This guy will use and abuse,
and only tell you lies,
though the danger is hidden,
he can't hide his lying eyes,

So beware of this Casanova,
with his deceitful charm,
don't let him seduce you,
he'll only cause you harm.

    I agree.

My daughter ran into one of these smooth operators and he ripped her off for over ten thousand dollars. Now he lives in another city after getting out of prison for theft. My cousin and I want to put up a billboard of him and warn other women about him.

    Pretty good advice

Yep this is good advice and I always let my boyfriends know that if they were fifteen minutes late the date was cancelled. Plus if they did not call except for when they had no one else to call I just hung up on them. Finally I met a man that I am now married too for 26 years.

Thanks Laura, Those smooth operator are all around these days. I met two in my lifetime. They didn't last long, I hate that type of guy. Thanks for the comment. Are you still in the p.j.'s you wore to bible study. That was so funny. Lov, Sandy

Oh I met that man, let me tell you that was a bad road to go down. Finally ran into a dead end and got him out of my life. He was exactly the way you wrote. Actually I had him investigated with my local police department and they couldn't even get his name right he had so many alias's...his rap sheet was so long when he opened it, it went across my dining room floor.
I pray for all the women who are single to read this and realize you have to know what you are getting into. TAKE CARE AND AS ALWAYS I PRAY FOR GODS BLESSING ON YOU LAURA

Yes , love can be blind at times, especially when you're young. We only seem to see the good when we're in love, never the bad.Thank you so much for the nice comment, take care, Sandy

If only my daughter would see this in my son in law! She is so blinded by love for him she doesn`t see all the lies but I do and can only sit and wait till he screws up! Great poem!! thanks for sharing xo

Wow- this is such a wonderful poem which I liked a lot, so true of many people- an outward appearance of someone so smooth and charming but deep down they're not very nice people. Thanks for commenting on my poem and keep writing

I think we all have had a guy like this in our lives at sometime. They can be irresistable. Lucky for them, unlucky for us. Thank you for the nice comment. Take care, Sandy
