Seeing In Darkness

To be blind is yet to still see,
the feeling of a summer breeze,
gently blowing across my face,
allows me to see the wind.

The sun shining down on my face,
allows me to see the warmth,
the song of an overhead robin,
shows me  wondrous springtime.

As I walk along the oceans edge,
I see the texture of the sand.
a wave crashing on the beach,
I can see the tide rolling in.

The smell of the backyard barbecue,
allows me to see a family picnic,
all the fragrance in the backyard,
allows me to see the roses of red.

When ever I hold my lover's hand,
I see excitement from his touch,
to see, to touch and to hear,
allows me to see , though blind.

A beautiful pov, coming from someone who is not blind. It takes a good heart to look at a pov that is not native to that heart. I am glad to see more poets using a style like that. It helps open eyes, minds, and hearts. And you've done it splendidly!

Very lovely... this is a wonderful look at being blind, the fact that you can still see, if only through the heart and all the other senses. Very nice, great job.

    Thanks for entering!
