a guy
who works at a coffee place
and looks at me
with longing adoration
and he doesn't even know my name
I'm just the-small-cup-of-coffee-girl
and sometimes the-strawberry-lime-Jones-with-a-glass-of-ice-girl
who always leaves a nice tip
and small conversations
wishing to EXPLODE
into something (just a little bit) more than
"Hi...how are you?"
And I wonder if
he is locked up in his own
insecurities
Afraid to say anything more to me than
"that'll be one thirty five, thanks have a good day"
And we are both thinking the same thing.
I used to be daring
I used to hold men's hearts with my eyes
and leave them babbling for more
I used to never be afraid to say
"yes I want you to go out with ME"
And now I and my patch-worked heart
can not jump start
into this
And maybe I just don't want it bad enough
for all I can do is just look back
with coffee in hand
and no coffee boy
Author notes
So I used to be able to go up to any guy and ask him out...now I can barely work up enough courage to ask this guy that I have a HUGE crush on how his day is.
sigh
this is one of those me reading outloud to everyone but Josh poems.

It is hard to say things to people who you like or admire...But thats why we have body language. always works better when the cat has got your tongue...

It is hard to work up the nerve to say something. I am always the extra-tequila-in-the-margarita girl
Things will be as they should, even if you don't think it's right.
Good poem

I think we all have an equivolent coffee boy. One day you will ask him.. you will.. you can... Just do it.
You took me to this coffee house with your words, and I could see the scene unfold. Excellently written. Now lets see a sequel.

Oh my, Susan!
This is lovely! If he looks at you "with longing adoration", he thinks he is not worthy to even ask your name! He's shy, and needs you to give him the green light. Can't you just slip him your phone number with the tip? This is probably the 'even better' thing I said was going to come into your life. You have got to give it a chance!
You go, girl!

A most delightfully penned interesting write , which I have enjoyed a whole bunch-'And we are both thinking the same thing'-why not just check it out- there is nothing to lose
dont let life's chances pass you by without even acknowledging their presence
-'I used to be daring'-'I used to never be afraid '-dont let ANYTHING change that-dont let anything stop that
-and dont make excuses
'maybe I just don't want it bad enough'-just go gal! the above views are totally my personal belief-
