Roughrider you are not just a poet here
But a friend to all who cross your path.
Every night on your knees asking our Lord please bless
The mom of a dear friend who is recovering from surgery
You help rekindle a broken love
Have her see that cutting is wrong
Wanting to protect the one with those baby blue eyes
The list goes on and on
And your prayers increase every night
With that same breath you thank our Lord for the ones
Who bring words of wisdom and encouragement to you
I have read each and every single one of your poems
At times I was there as I saw the words spill from your heart
With tears in your eyes as you typed your soul away
Thinking that I could not hear your silent cries
Creating poems that leave me speechless
You will hide your pain to help a friend
Put your life on hold to hear and comfort a dying soul
Listening attentively when needed
And speaking gentle words to ease the heart
Always trying to make someone smile
You would threaten to bring out the corny jokes
And those of us who know you, know you will
Roughrider you are a mother to three girls, sister to many and a friend to all
I know all this for you have always been
And open soul to all
Giving your heart out without hesitation
You have been the blanket of friendship
for us all to share in good and bad times

Awww, sweetie, this is a truly beautifully written poem about our dear "friend to all", Rosa.
I think you did well at reminding other friends (such as myself!) how she must pray for all that she knows each night. That is something I think I carelessly have forgotten.
I am so glad I was reminded of this through your touching words.
You have definately summed up dear Rosa as a "Friend to All" quite accurately. Never stop writing.

This is so true of your beautiful Mother. I too have experienced the corny jokes? Where does she keep those, and is there some way we can get rid of them? LOL
This is a truly touching piece written for a woman that is so beautiful, so full of love and friendship... giving, compassionate, one who is not selfish, and there for those she loves, unconditionally.....
