The Fortune Teller

Don't take things for granted young lady...
Said the old woman quite shady.
Ten years down the road I see you'll be carrying a heavy load..
Three babies...no four!
You will have your hands full thats for sure.

If thats not news there's more in store..
The man you marry will leaves you for a crack whore.

Now let me skip on a little farther and tell you about your youngest daughter.
At fifteen,  she's having babies of her own.
What happened to your humble little home?
Your son? Why thats quite the tale...
He will spend most of his life sitting in jail.

So heed my word and take nothing for granted, young lady..
Said the old woman quite shady.

    Thumbs up!

Wow, this was really good. But it would be even better if you added more to it... Maybe told more about the story. I'm big on hearing gossip and this poem is just like one of those shows, or rumors you just can't turn your back to. It's really great though, I think most of us would like to know more about this ladys life though, I know I would!!!

I can honestly say I've not read something remotely like this- perhaps it's just the subject, it's generally not one I'm hugely attracted to (as a rule)... but I love individual stuff like this... not a story you're predicting for someone you know perchance?

I like this. If fortune tellers said this kind of stuff to people though, you can be sure they wouldn't be making much money!
