Simplify, the passion into
areas of desire, the subject
being ghostlike; swimming
around teasing the senses,
eluding the grasp.
Tentatively, reaching out to
embellish an already perfect
specimen, with colour compiled
pigments and hair of varied
lengths, on canvas or paper.
Strokes defining dark and light,
emphasising details apparent;
Daubing and blending edges;
Bold and feathered, meeting
doubt and erasure.
Captured essence, eludes for
a fraction in time till with
one final stroke, the painting
is completed and replenished
to its fullest..................

I am glad you enjoyed it, but remember one thing.... When, if ever I am famous, I shall never forget my friends
Lol got more chance of winning the Lottery

You often spend more time contemplating than actually painting or sketching, chooseing a subject matter is often the hardest, rather like poetry
Many thanks for your kind words, they are really appreciated

Thanks sunrise
Glad you enjoyed it

Well my field is abstract, rather like my poetry
it is either "In your face" or creeps up gently
Loved your lines, thank you
-
You are right, it takes the same process to make art in any form
I am glad you enjoyed this, thank you for your kind words

That is so beautiful, I love painting, drawing, claywork... Art you know hehe, and I love it when I am able to pour my feelings into a piece I've done, Recently I depicted a forlorn woman standing in line at a shopping centre and my mother was able to capture the expression on her face knowing what it was about. ( I know this is completely off the topic) but the feeling you get when people know what your on about in poems, songs, art... lol I guess I'm contradicting myself, I don't know. sorry hehe, but I really enjoyed this piece, made me want to paint!

Sounds like you need to paint
What a masterpiece you just painted in my mind. My daughter and my father paint and I could see them standing there, making their strokes, being quietly dissatisfied, erasing, changing things about until finally it's just right

Grasp your pencil or brush leap into it like you would your own lust Spread the paint thick and thin now it is time to begin Send your image through your hand mark it down on this paper land cast your shadow in this style dripping paint all the while Douse yourself in colors vibrant and rare do what it is that you not dare. Another words come on and show us your art along with the poems! Great Writing if you paint as wel as you write you must have masterpieces everywhere!

Isn't it interesting that this is pretty much the same basic process as for writing, trying to coax something out of amorphous reality into clarity. It's such an exciting process and so gratifying when it works out.
