Currency

Penny for them, thoughts
I'll share, will it ever get me there;
Maybe sixpence, or half crown;
I don't' let thing's get me down;
Ten bob note, is just the thing,
then you might just hear me sing;
One pound notes, are all a flutter,
stand well back, I really stutter.
Eur o's now, the rhyming's gone;
Can't rhyme that within my song;
Cuz, all I know is shillings and pence
and no, I wont get off the fence;
so if they tell you, you've to change,
your brain you'll have to re-arrange.......

    Humourous

    LOL ... I know where you are coming from Cutiepie. We in NZ had all that in 1967. Since then the government have done away with the one and two cent pieces and now they are talking of doing away with the five cent piece. I say, do away with them all and just have the dollar on its own.
    A humourous view, and I enjoyed it muchly.
    Thank you for the smile.

    Bravo! Very creative of you! I've always found currency interesting...I really like how you used the "penny for your thoughts" phrase and built upon it in your poetry. I would certainly pay quite a sum to hear more thoughts as unique as yours!

    Cute lil ditty about the coins of the world, there are always changes going on in our change. They just can't leave it be, have to keep tweeking it, making it harder for us to keep it straight.
