thirty

Thirty is the perfect age
not too childish, not too sage
when you're thirty, you've learned a thing or two
and have some idea what to do
and of this great age I praisingly sing;
you're not too old to do these things!
somewhere between immaturity and senility
is that perfect blend of experience and ability
so enjoy being thirty, and have no fear
you'll only have it for just one year.

    ha ha ha I enjoyed this , and I think self 30 ain't to bad but I am told I will hit a sexual peak sometime now that I am going over that mountain. But Only God would send my husband overseas during that time.. ha ha That is IRONIC.. Thank You so much for this write , your ending was the darling part, you'll only have it just for one year.     i think i would rather be twenty lol or younger still, perhaps three, then i would not have to worry about cigarettes all the time.

    OOh!..I turned 30 in March of this year (2004) and lemme tell ya..it almost had me in tears. Feel so old some days but this poem gave me a different way of looking at it and made that big 3 and 0 not look quite so big anymore.

    30 i still got 2 years and 2 months till i reach 30, awww are we feeling old, 30 is just a number it all all how you feel in you heart and mind...
