Wasted

Wasted
Four long years
Wedding vows
Two kids
and two rings

I told you it was over
I couldn't go on
After babies and bills
and all the change

Wasted
Two weeks; barstool
bourbon and scotch
beer and wine
and vodka chasers

I told you it was over
I couldn't go on
After fights and lonely nights
spent on the sofa

Wasted
Three hundred dollars
One pistol
Box of shells
and a piece of paper

You told me it was over
You couldn't go on
Without me, without the kids
Your life was over

Wasted
One good father
One good family
all the love
all the reasons to stay

Wasted
