Seven children there is in all,
In this great family from Donegal,
The parents are teachers,
The kids are all mad,
And many an accidents we've all had.
Roisin the eldest is very funny and bold,
The biggest perfectionist so we've all been told,
She'd kill all my Barbie’s and cut off they're heads,
And she'd inspect our rooms for creases on the beds,
At the age of 5 she changed my nappy,
Made mum and dad tea to keep them happy,
And off she goes to collage next week,
And I can't believe I’ll miss this freak.
Conal is number 2 in our clan,
He sleeps and eats and acts like a man,
He's dopey and dreamy and as funny as hell,
And he manages to create a nuclear smell,
He constantly teases me night and day,
And he always mimics whatever I say,
Although Conal has brought me many a laugh,
And he's a grand ol’ fellow if he's had a bath.
And then there I sit at number three,
I’m crazy and stupid as you can see,
You wont know whether I’m goin' or cumin
And that’s why Conal calls me wonder woman,
I go for wanders and think and ponder,
I have a crazy family but I couldn't be fonder,
You probably wont believe what I’ve said,
But then again I’ve been dropped on my head.
Anthony is our number four,
This poor lad I couldn't love more,
His ADHD makes him crazy and mad,
And he’s the best friend I’ve ever had,
When we were kids we’d play non- stop,
And we’d steal all Mums sweets to sell in our shop,
Many days of fun we had,
Me and the rascal, “The boy who’s bad.”
Donagh comes in after that,
And he’s quite the opposite of what you’d call fat,
His ribs are showing in his chest,
Yet he eats constantly- yet he’s the best,
Donagh has Autism and it won’t fix,
He didn’t talk till he was six,
Donagh is sweet and so very kind,
And him and me will always bind.
Then there comes Riaghan second from last,
If you see her coming run away fast,
She never stops talking and never shuts up,
And basically she’s a complete and utter pup,
She talks in her dreams, and always wears pink,
And put on skirts saying, “What do you think”,
She’s not all bad she’s just such a girl,
Ant at the end of the day she’s my little pearl.
Then last but not least our little dote,
Enya the tomboy gets top vote,
She’s cheeky and fun,
I love her a tonne,
And now my poem,
Is finished and done.

Excellent
What a wonderfully touching and humerous poem about your family, it was a real joy to read, I could almost see your siblings as you described them. I'd be interested to know if they agreed with your observations
You are so lucky to have such a big happy family, It will stand you in good stead for your life to be able to look back with such great memories. It took me back to my own childhood, although I was only one of four kids, not seven !

That is a big bum family! lol. Strange thing is, I can totally relate a little to everyone. I thought each stanza was very cute and funny! I was laughing at basically everything you said. Everyone is so different in your family, and that is way cool. Great job and Good luck!
