Two Towers

Two Towers
Standing Tall
One morning
Not there at all
Two Towers
Looked at me
And gave me
Security

A terrible day
Now lost in the past
Everything seemed
To happen so fast
World wide affect
Of this terrible event
An emotional wound
A permanent dent

A wound that shall never heal
A wound only I can feel
A wound that affected us all
Of those two towers
That once stood tall

Hmmm...while I like this piece, I am a little troubled by this line - A wound only I can feel...everyone felt the pain of that day. Maybe something that incorporates how it affected America? Perhaps 'a wound America feels' or something like that. But otherwise, it's a great tribute poem.
