Remember those who gave their lives,
Remember those who couldn't say good-bye.
We may not understand why,
So many had to die.
We just need to remember,
That one fatal day in September.
When all those members,
Weren't able to live to say 'I remember.'
We need to remember those who now fight,
To make things right.
We need to remember their plight,
And how they're trying to restore our nations light.
Remember those who will never walk again on earth,
Who will never realize what this country is really worth.
They will never experience the mirth,
Of our nations rebirth
Remember those who died,
Remember the family's that cried.
If nothing else, open your arms wide,
And let them have somewhere they can abide.
Remember those who couldn't say good-bye.
We may not understand why,
So many had to die.
We just need to remember,
That one fatal day in September.
When all those members,
Weren't able to live to say 'I remember.'
We need to remember those who now fight,
To make things right.
We need to remember their plight,
And how they're trying to restore our nations light.
Remember those who will never walk again on earth,
Who will never realize what this country is really worth.
They will never experience the mirth,
Of our nations rebirth
Remember those who died,
Remember the family's that cried.
If nothing else, open your arms wide,
And let them have somewhere they can abide.
Author notes
I just felt like I should write something for those who died on September 11th. Also, for those who are fighting for our country!

A perfect tribute to those victims for such an unfortunate event. Long they will live in these words perfectly crafted words created...

This is sort of filled with hope. Hope for a new beggining. Hope that our nation can regain it's 'light'.

Great!
Awesome job. It flows really well. We all need to remember what happened and try to make our world a better place. -
Yes...I have written about September 11th as well, but perhaps not in the same vein as you have...I pay tribute to it as you have here, and it is definately a date and a tragic event to remember, to be sure. We must do all that we can to make sure that it doesn't happen again...to anyone, anywhere. If you know what I mean.

Thans! I hope others will write about this subject, too. Many have and I'm proud!
