Awareness

The power within ; Manic
hysteria abounds as a
impulse pulsating ; Nervously
fluctuating, dangerously.

Stress levels off the scales,
dipping and diving; Highs
and lows, flowing and ebbing
from the very core.

Caffeine induced calm, false
sense of security waits in
the wings of now, gathering
breaths, in great gulps.

Remembered peacefulness,
penetrates the sub-conscious
willing it's return; Sanity
returns slowly to it's owner.

Serenity, brain waves lucid;
Intact and coherent, patterns
zig-zag with prompting. A
pause, then composition.

    This is great. I love the fluid motion of the poem: it runs like a river. My fav. lines: "The power within ; Manic
    hysteria abounds as a
    impulse pulsating ; Nervously
    fluctuating, dangerously." Kudos. Write on!

    Cheers,

    this was great, the fragmented thoughts, the language skills, the composition. I thoroughly enjoyed all points of this poem. It makes you think, stop, then think some more. lol. Which is the best kind, in my opinion. Wonderful job.

    excellent

    Nicely spoken!
    I like this ending;
    "Serenity, brain waves lucid;
    Intact and coherent, patterns
    zig-zag with prompting. A
    pause, then composition."
    In this you say a lot of good points that people should listen too!
    Excellently done!
