Her Broken World

Wanting to sob, but the tears refuse to grace her cheeks.
Every day it's an up hill battle.
She reaches the top, only to fall again.
She dreams of a life she wish she had.
And every morning she prays to god
"Please let me come home to a happy comforting home."
And, as always, it's just the same.
Home from school to world war I.
Life refuses to go her way.
She gets the grades,
Even makes the team.
Stuck in that house day after day,
Energy draining from her,
And her spirit lowers,
As her emotions get stored deep down.
It's useless now, she's lifeless.
Her friends love her dearly.
She knows it, but it doesn't matter as much.
She's stuck in her prison, drowning in misery.
Her friends invite her, but "it's worthless" she's says.
"It's never going to change."
"Forget my name, forget my face, this rain will never end."

    you are such a good friend meaghan, and she is so lucky to have a bestfriend like you. I guess what we have to do is keep trying, because she's not worth giving up on. NO walls can keep us from pulling her out of there. You got some talent kiddo.
