Joy In The Rain

Another dark night,
another strong storm,
another lonely walk.

As each step passes, I breathe the heavy air.
The thunder and lightning encircles me.
The thoughts and emotions envelop me.

I envision solutions up ahead.
My pace grows faster,
but they seem to stay just out of reach.

I think of a solution within my grasp...
Looking up to the sky, I think of you and smile,
suddenly finding joy in the rain.

Author notes

Second thing written. Came up with it while walking in the rain (again). Once again, comments are encouraged.

    awesomely rockin'

This one, I might say, does rock. It paints a picture in my mind. I don't think those were your intentions, and I don't think what you thought would match my picture, but I still like it . I hope it rains more up there so you can go on more walks and write more beautiful poems.

    k

I thought of "you". It's a mystery. I really don't know (or remember) who I thought of. But, I'm pretty sure it was you. I don't know who else I have to think of...
