You took away fun,
And you thought you took it all,
You said it was for the good,
Well look at me now.
It started with food.
You came home one day.
Smile on your face.
What was so great?
I was allergic to food itself,
Well that is what it seemed.
Corn, milk and wheat,
Were no longer a part of me.
Then went the TV.
Cathy watched too much you said.
There went Aqua Teen Hunger Force,
the only show I watched.
Next went the Gamecube,
The pool filled with concrete,
My comic books were gone,
Life seemed so empty.
And every stupid thing I did,
My mother would always say,
"I wonder about you."
Like I was some toddler.
Now all I do is type poems,
On this lonely computer,
Tobie sleeping next to me,
He is such a cute dog.
But he will be gone soon,
Like everything else,
And then what do I have,
Where is all the fun?
Then I realized.
One thing she can never take,
My Imagination,
It was all I needed.
I went into a forest,
Where I let my pencil glide,
Across a notebook,
And made beautiful images.
My mother will never defeat me,
I will always have fun.
I will hide in my own dream world,
Till the end of time.
I will not be defeated.

Well I don't know what I'd do without my Aquateen Hungerforce, honestly
On a more serious note this was very well done. Parents can be harsh, but your realization that there are things in you she can never take is great. Thanks for the read and good luck,
