I Will Take You Home

You and I together, feels just right
Come to me and I will hold you tight
So take my hand
Let’s make this leap together
If you ask
I’ll be right here forever

And in my arms you’ll find
A peace you’ve never known
Just close your eyes real tight
It’s time… it's time for us to go

So take my hand
Let’s make this leap together
If you ask
I’ll be right here forever

And in my arms you’ll find
A peace you’ve never known
Just close your eyes real tight
It’s time… it's time for us to go

You and I together, feels just right
Come to me and I will hold you tight
Take my hand, let’s make this leap together
If you ask I’ll be right here forever

And in my arms you’ll find
A peace you’ve never known
Just close your eyes real tight
It’s time… it's time for us to go

Yes, if you ask
I’ll be right here forever

Oh come with me, I will take you home

Come with me, yes, I will take you home

Come with me, and I will take you home... ooohh home

Anna, I love this poem mainly on two accounts: 1st. “you epitomize love's difficulty” with the allegory phrase: "leap." And secondly, you ascribe love “to the welcoming of your love home.” This was brilliant in your analogy, rhyme-“and “charismatic in it's depth of dimensions!” Bravo..., I loved this-!

There was no harm taken, I think that poetry is one of those things that each person can read into what they wnat. I am very greatful to have you comment on my work.

taking a relationship ahead, adoption, and a suicide pact. three poems for the price of one. wow! please forgive my audacity, but just wanted to share my thoughts earlier didn't mean any harm. can see where you're coming from though. . . finally thanks

This is a song about a relationship just getting past the beginning and really taking off. I think that each person, however, should interpet it in their own way. Thank you so much for stopping by. I do reread it when you feel better.

This is a poem about a relationship becoming more serious. It was never meant to be about a suicide pact. But the beauty of poetry is that each reader interpets each piece in their own way. Rarely does it reflect the authors intent. And that is okay. Thank you for taking the time to read it. I really do appreciate it.

Awww, it's so sweet. I presume it's the idea of a relationship becoming more serious, although the suicide pact idea of lifeisskarela's intrigues me...

Lovely flow, bet it would make a great romantic song, maybe a tearjerker. Well written.

Sometimes I read lyrics and think okay it was ok but if the music was with them I wouldn't bother listening to the song. I think sometimes the thing with a song is the lyrics... This very beautiful and has such a soft feel to it.

LOL at the suicide pact... I guess words can be taken in any way

I think thatyou could turn this into a great song--It really did have a beat to it. I really enjoyed reading it and think that it would sound very good as a country song.

Maybe it's just the frame of mind i'm in, but this sounds more like a suicide pact by lovers with a promise of sweet and eternal togetherness. but then that's the beauty of all poetry. it's colourd by the reader's experiences and may mean different things to different people. will come back in another mood, just to check my theory

To me it seems to be a song about adopting a child. At least that's the picture I get as I read. It's a beautiful song. I'd love to hear it with music. Too bad this site doesn't let sound be put on pages.

    Incredible

Oh I liked this. It's so pretty and serene. There's almost an undercurrent of promised passion that runs deeper than the words...

Wonderful song. Thank you for sharing this.
