Thank You Dear God

Dear Lord, I'm always asking you for something,
I ask you everrynight to answer all my prayers,
Lord you always give me love and guidance,
every time I call upon you Lord, you are right there.

Lord I feel I always take from you but never give,
I ask you Dear Lord, what can I do for you,
my heart is bursting with your love,
whatever you ask of me Lord, I will gladly do.

Lord, lay some of your burdens on my shoulders,  
let me know, what is your plan for me,
show me how I can spread your wondrous glory
I will  be here Dear Lord waiting patiently.

Finding you Lord has made my life so complete,
all my life there was something missing in my heart,
you brought two poets together to save my soul,
with your love Dear Lord, my life has a brand new start.

    Thanks for the nice comment. I really just wrote what I was thinking about Our Lord. I didn't even notice the line you changed till you pointed it out in your poem. Take care, Sandy

    A beautiful poem and a wonderful tribute to Our Lord. I liked the way you wrote this an excelent poem/prayer with wonderful feelings surrounding it Keep writing because this was great, thanks for commenting on my poem
    PS I hope you don't mind but I changed 'You'll soar high as sugar mommy's boy' to 'You'll soar high whilst sugar mommy's boy'- otherwise it sounds a bit like they're as high as each other Although tech that's true it's not very encouraging...
