Muse of Music

melodious thoughts vibrate
with the incessant beat,
strumming words with delicacy,
allowing a melting of tensions
relaxing, shift in tempo
descant throbs knowingly above,
the minds eye observes this lull
and waits for the harmonies to
catch up, ever watchful for their
cue, acceleration in rhythm
winds up the mood to heat,
forging palpitations and
expectancies greater than ever,
crescendo climaxes and rhythm
softens to a casual beat, almost
knowing the need to rest...............

    music, all we hear is music, guarenteed to smile... those lyric have stuck in my mind for years. Early Genesis. Your wonderful words reminded me of them.

    Thank you I am glad you liked it My son plays the Flute which I love to listen to and I play the piano so music is in our blood The clarinet to me is such a clear sound, pure like crystal. I am glad you enjoy playing, that also is a gift

    Amazing

    Wow! Great piece! I play the clarinet and sometimes I experience these wonderful feelings when I am sitting up on the stage, playing with the rest of the band. Really such a great piece, it is really well written and I love the topic, amazingly soothing piece, nice job!
