On the fifteenth floor
Closed window, locked door
A man lays at his desk dead
A bullet's been shot through his head.
No one came in and no one went out
Of this, there is no doubt
There is one and only one clue
A lead pencil broken in two.

Author notes
How was the man shot?
I didn't make up the riddle, just the poem.
answer: He was shot through an open window from another building. The window was held open by the pencil. The shot went through then pencil breaking it in two and shutting the window.

Aah...nice work here. It did stump me. i really couldn't figure it out. The only flaw I see is that if a window was heavy enough to slide closed, wouldn't a pencil be too weak to hold it open? I don't know. I'm not sure. But there's no critiszing you on this one since you said you didn't make up the riddle. You did a good job of shaping the riddle into a poem. (one thing... "lead" is spelled wrong in the last line.)
Otherwise, great job. Thanks for entering! -
