Incurable

-Chorus-
Under the dreaded shadows
Of my scarce dead faith
There are no carved words
Or hieroglyphics compelling to stay
All remains a feeling
Vague perceptions of decay
The battlements are useless
This enemy will never fade

I tie the noose around my neck
These days I fight against myself
A pariah in my automatic hell
When darkness comes, I ring the bell
To prepare for another war
A hollow threat to skin-deep scars
To be put down by a biased crowd
Is there really nothing to fight about?

-Chorus-

I search my heart with my own knife
And lose my breath, but nothing's fine
The infection spreads to my soul
If expelled, returns through the same hole
To probe my nerves, see what I feel,
Change my mind and all that is real
The rivals merge and answer the call
Of this virus spread by loss of control

-Chorus-

I tie the noose around my neck
These days I fight against myself
And prepare for another war
An empty threat to my scars
And I'm put down by the cold crowd
Is there no helping hand to be found?
And I'm put down by a heartless crowd
Is there really nothing to fight about?

gosh, I don't know how I missed this one! beautiful darling! I can totally see it as a song...very lyrical. A poem not too full of hope, but as we know from today, things will always get better, as much as they will fall. It's just the natural wave of the Universe, and we just have to learn to live with it...
    bravo!

Some powerful lyrics. Some words I can't imagine in song, but it is very well done...
