A New Dawn

Missing image
The sunset dips into the sea
Asleep for another day
Only to rise in the morning
To chase the moon away

It awakens the rooster
  Cock-a-doodle-do
As he begins to crow
A new day dawns for you

somewhat surprisingly, i've gotten what seems like quite a few poems that run along this same theme in this contest. (i don't know why that's really such a surprise. but it is.)
i think this is charming. i like the sort of duel between the sun and moon.
    thanks for entering
