I Want To Know

I waited all night
You didn't come home
I waited all day still no show
I started to think you left me for good
Saying that you always would
I cried for hours maybe more
Till I heard a knocking at my door
My hopes were high
My tears had dried
Till I opened the door
And found out you died.
I couldn't cry
I was in too much shock
I think that
My own heart stopped
I think I fainted I don't remember
All I know is that it was in early September
Still hoping that it was just a dream
I let out a horrid scream.I must have stopped and fell on the floor.
Because here I am wanting to know so much more.

Author notes

This piece was dedicated to September 11th. My upstairs neighbor had her husband in the tower and I couldnt imagine what she was going through but i wrote about it... while i was writing this everything just flowed like i was meant to write something that touched so many people
