She walks her blue cat
While moonlight stalks the shadow
When the breezes cease
Gathering flowers
White Jasmine scented blossoms
For her temple crown
Gracefully she moves
Swaying to starlight singing
Soft enchantment songs
Old cold hearts listen
As she lifts away sorrow’s
Mourning past the dark
Light beams from fingers
Caress soft upon my skin
Waking numbed senses
An odd happiness
Puddles beneath each footstep
Splashing childish joy
Bouncing laughter gleams
My dim soul beams in her hands
As radiant silk
Rare feelings indeed
As I watch the Even Star
Rise into the moon
Rare as her blue cat
Out on a walk in moonlight
When the breezes cease

You paint such a surreal and magical atmosphere with your poetry, it's quite beautiful and enchanting. I only wish to jump into this fantasy realm and fly beneath the evening stars.

Thanks, Vickie, after all the comments, i think you've come the closest to the reason for my penning this. ~r.

While reading this, I didn't think of the cat, I thought this was about somebody you love and so many of the things you love about her. Although she does have the grace and movements that define a cat...a rare blue one at that.
What a treasure you had tucked away in your archives. I imagine there are many more I will be catching up on. Best wishes~vj -
Wow amazing! I used to have a black cat called 'Blue' (or did he have me?) but he died while still a kitten. Being the runt of the litter it was expected but I wouldn't have chosen another.
Your poem shines with such an intense light and talent. It was a pure joy to read and it's reading poems like this that improve my own talent. -
Well this was a lovely sweet peice..I wouldnt expect anything less from a poem titled blue cat. Nice imagery, just an all around enjoyable peice.

This indeed is a unique write, I liked it a lot. Mainly due to the rich imagery you used. You painted a wonderful picture. Whilst reading this it was somewhat soothing, and for some reason I found it quite mystical in grace like a cat.
Excellent work and an enjoyable read. Take care, Kate

You have painted a beautiful picture with your words. I must say the title enticed me into the read and I'm glad I took the moment to visit and read this. There are cats that do walk well on leashes much to the disagreement of some critics. My cat however simply lays down as soon as the leash is on. It is her way of saying "you expect me to do "what?"" She truly rules the roost here! It is truly the cat that dictates what goes on in the house. Back to your write, there are always things that people will find to be critical of. Personally I think this sits very well as is and wouldn't change a thing. I believe they call it "self expression".

My cats are evil and would eat me if I so much as tried to put a collar on them. But, methinks, if I had a really nice cat, I would walk it. This is very great! Loved the 5/7/5 form. Very nice! Really great! Keep up the great work!
God bless you,

I always love your poems, and I am a cat lover too-as the name may suggest! So I particularly enjoyed this piece of true art. Thank you for sharing!

Beautiful
I used to own a "British Blue" it had one of those moon shaped faces and flattened like a saucer. Oscar was his name
This poem was a delicate thing. Rather like a shy faerie full of mystical graces. I enjoyed it very much and thank you for the memories

I just had to click on this because of the title. "Blue Cat"...very mysterious, very intriguing. I'm glad I clicked. It was very nice poem to read. I liked how you structured it. Very neat and tight--easy to read. Nice job.

Very pleasent read, nice flow, great imagery, wonderful phrasing and I caught the alliteration. I think a muse can walk her blue cat if she wants to. There was a distraction in the first stanza, you use the words while and when redundantly in sequential lines, of course "When the breezes cease" is the line that connects the poem end to end so I don't see an easy fix. still a great poem...steveV

usualy the cat has the owner do the woalking to tend to it's standoffish needs, lol. I have owned several and know that they would not walk far on leash or unleashed before a stray bird or a field mouse would reduce me to hunting for them with me doing all the walking and them sitting idly in some bushes
while I am me-owing my sore feet, but I do love the poem, and perhaps she cast a spell which holds the cat close to her....Artis -
one of the cutest
this is really urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..............nice really nice sorry for the lame describing word it's really good i've done it again haven't i another lame word by the way i walk my rabbit so i don't think you're weird -
My cat is blue too, because I will not open his tins of food for him, well he must learn to fend for himself.
Seriously though, a very soft and pleasant. I agree with Lord Gegishov, walking a cat is a pretty strange thing to do, you do not see that very often. But I know some people do
-
Nice job! I especially liked the way you ended it with the same stanza as you started it with. That appealed to the adhd in me. And your tone matched your title, it was calming and soothing (something to do with blue I imagine). NIce job from start to finish!
-
Oh, this is so nice....it seems mystical to me. He has such a softness about it that it's calming. Excellent write.

an aesthetic treat
It's a rare privilege to see the world through the eyes of a true artist. You have been blessed with a unique personality and uncommon literary and artistic gifts. Cheers. -
Lovely
That was a lovely poem. It has beautiful imagery. I can see the hints of fantasy sort of seeping through the poem, with the even star, blue cat and light from fingers. I loved the jasmine line the most. But the images, by gosh the images were so gorgeous. Each stanza was like a rose petal and I was stepping on rose petals while reading your poem. -
Good Piece
This is a charnming piece. I could picture her walking a blue cat. It did strike me as a bit incongruous and ironic, however, that someone should be walking a cat. I've never owned a cat, so I am not familiar with all of the custums, but from my iota of knowledge, adn vast ignorance, I do not recall ever seeing anyone walk a cat. Funny how the seemingly dumbest things confuse us. But anyway, this is a fantastically nice poem. Keep up the good work. (Someone has to). -
CATASTIC
This one brushes past and there is feeling of comfort in its words..a beautiment...a wonder..good piece
