Good Night God

Good night sweet Lord, I want to say,
thank you for this beautiful day,
I loved your sunshine and your rain,
I hope you bring them back again.

Good night sweet Lord, I say to you,
thank you for your sky so blue,
I love your flowers everywhere,
they show how much you truly care.

Good night sweet Lord, time for bed,
now it's time to rest my weary head,
tomorrow will be a brand new day,
help me face what comes my way.

    I hit the random selection and wound up here at your Good Night poem. It really is such a pleasant surprise when it brings us to something such as this piece. This was truly a well-written, heart felt and lovely write.

    I can see why you did get so many compliments from this from when you first posted it in August of last year. You did a great job with this and it's something to make ppl smile.

    I guess God does work his wonders. I wrote a simple poem to say good night to him last night and I get all these comments. God must be pleased. He must be very pleased Thank you for the lovely comment. Take care, Sandy

    This is beautiful. It reminds me of praying with my mom before I went to sleep. Memories of simplier times help us to get through the most difficult and this prayer helps. Good write... Goodnight.
