The Little Fat Bald Guy

Missing image
I knew right away as I awoke, something was not right
I was still wearing the clothes I wore last night
one shoe was missing and was nowhere to be found
the water bed started moving and making a sound

I quickly jumped up and started looking under the bed
all I could see in the dark, was a little bald head
I grabbed a baseball bat and began pounding on the floor
the little fat bald guy crawled out and ran out the door

My mind was hazy, I could not remember what I had done
the office Xmas party the night before must have been fun
that night as I slept, I was awakened by the same sound
again the water bed made a noise and was moving around

The same fat little bald man was standing next to the bed
he was dressed in a white fluffy wig and a suit colored red
he said he was really ready and back to have some more
of the Xmas present I had promised him the night before

He took off his red suit and put his boots under the bed
then removed the fluffy white wig from the top of his head
he had a big grin and said, do you still believe in me
I said I haven't believed in Santa since I was three

Well I'll always remember that merry Christmas with Nick
that little bald guy really was was lively and quick
I never will  know if Nick was the real Santa or not
or was he the Santa at the Xmas party, I just plain forgot

The strangest thing happens the same time each year
I see Nick all over town when Christmas time is near
I keep seeing him everywhere, in many parades and stores
every time I see him he pretends not to know me anymore

A well told journey of post-booze withdrawal! lol
The slightly fuzzy style complemented the theme of the piece and gave it a nice distant air. Slight disbelief and rancour gave it a suitably detached fell that evoke memories of past drunken mishaps and bbehaviour!
    Nice write
    thanks for entering it

I thoroughly enjoyed your poem about dear old Saint Nick, but was expecting something about a D--k or a P---k somewhere in it. Surpise it wasn't there anywhere. Really, I did enjoy the read.

Thank you forthe wonderful comment. I had no idea where this poem would end when I started writing it. I never wrote one like this before. I guess the devil made me do it. I only started writing poetry in June, when I found this wonderful website. It has changed my life completely, as I write about on my author's page. Take gare, Sandy

Dreams are okay Sandy. We’re in control most the time that is. I did a one to get at a man and another to get at a woman using dreams as the basis just for fun mind, but dear me as poets we take these extremes often further than the dreams themselves. What an amazing fun loving fantasy heart you must have there.

Yea at my age that's about all I can do is dream. Thanks for the comment. I don't think I'll be writing anymore like this one. I think I'll stick to my spiritual and love poems. I won't feel so guilty. Take care, Sandy
