A Poet's Renaissance

Frozen icicles

on needles of conifers and deciduous trees

Pose photogenically en masse

Not alone in the wintry world

By the way of

Alice's Looking Glass

Ice crystals etched on cobblestones

Reflects pools of the past

Seemingly vivid and i gasp,

A reaction to the role

in which i have been unwillingly cast

As i stumble under dismal painted skies

Doubting i  will survive this bleak season,

Attired in black

of Life's inner reason

Within ice castles stand,

A sample of a Poet's life

In a circle bared to all

beckoning.....

A Renissance depicted

Inside a crytal ball

    excellent

This is a very interesting story, about the beauty of winter. I see the comments of ferg up above telling about the beauty of the Alberta winter. The mention of whether to survive brings out feelings of how precious life is. In this way you touch upon many different emotional levels. Wonderfully done.

What a rich rennissance this depicts. That diamond dipped world created with winter's magic. How beautifully described.

Have I read anything of your? Was it this interesting? Very eloquent tribute to mirrors, fantasies, and the rich inner world of the poet.

    don't touch it!

Wonderful to read and nostalgic for me. Makes me miss my Alberta winters. I have always found that seasons changing triggered emotional/spiritual shifts within me. Your poem reminds me of that. Thank you for sharing.
