Sitting Alone

Sitting alone, waiting for love.
Watching as people go by
which one is for me?
who is destined to sit at my table?
Every day I sit at the same place,
sitting and waiting.
watching, staring into the souls
of those who do not know me
praying and wishing,
that God would send my match to me.

Sitting alone, waiting for love.
I wonder, is she waiting too?
Have I missed her?
Where could she be?
Day after day, week after week,
month after month, year after year.
I sit and I wait, watching as the people go by
waiting and watching, looking for a sign
a sign, a glimmer of hope, that she is still out there
perhaps searching for me too.

I do not know who she is.
I sit and I wait, imagining her
sparkling eyes, sweet smile
gentle and kind, nice and sweet.
I hope shes looking for me too.

Sitting alone, waiting for love
waiting for God to bring her into my life,
waiting for God to send her to my table
straining my eyes,
staring into their souls
Could she be the one?
How about her?
But alas, still I sit alone.

I do not know who she is.
I sit and I wait, imagining her
she whose life has been given to God
who praises His name and glorifies Him
in all she does.
I hope shes looking for me too.

Sitting here, no longer alone
no longer having to imagine.
God has brought her to me,
her sparkling eyes shine
her sweet smile radiates

Gentle and kind is she,
Nice and sweet--
she was waiting for me,
as I was waiting for her.

Sitting here, no longer alone
no longer having to imagine
God has brought her to me,
she who praises and glorifies Him
in all she does

Sitting here, no longer alone
no longer having to imagine.
She was waiting for me
As I was waiting for her.
