and whine to reach the town,
the trip - way too enamoring
for faces without sound.
And so, uncap the pickle jar
to make this ride a thrill;
keep it silent, town's too far
and Mama's at the wheel.
Now once they get the bottle popped,
they’ll spill it on the seat
laughing like today has stopped
while pickling their feet!
Author notes

'I can see the sea!!'
Funny poem...made me laugh! Car trips with kids are a nightmare aren't they!? When I was little, I apparently threw up seven times on the way to the safari park! (I'm sure it's all lies!)
Great poem,

we used to make signs and put them in the window.
'i'm being kidnapped'
'you're a retard'
all sort of silly things
we liked to hang things out the windows, too.
shoelaces made great 'kite-ties'. -
