Angel of Love

Angel of Love

Tears from the heavens
fall to the Earth,
drenching, bathing
me in purity.

Washing my heart
of insecurities,
despair,
loneliness...
Happiness fills me
from the inside,
stretching my face into
a smile so wide.

The clouds slowly part,
revealing a ray of brightest light,
a golden thread of inspiration
for a lost poet;
a lifeline for a
misunderstood soul.

A work of art,
painted by an invisible brush
slowly appears
amidst hazy skies.

Violets like velvet
coat the firmament.
Deep indigoes and blues
proudly shine.
Bold greens that match
the grass on Earth.
Bright yellows,
lustrous oranges,
and fiery reds all combined,

Light is bent, and swirled
by the hand of the artist
into a breathtaking masterpiece...

I feel the gentle shower
softly easing into
the quiet of dusk.
A beautiful golden sun,
sinking into the west,
beneath sparkling waters.

I feel the residue
of the colours;
they fade from the
darkening sky,
and brighten
within my heart.

And I know I have been
touched forever
by an angel of love...

I love how you described the rainbow, and compared the colours to other things. It just brought the image more clearly into my mind. Thanks for sharing, and keep on writing!

I try to give all my poems an excellent flow so that people don't get thrown of by the non-rhyming. I really feel that people who write freestyle have to take into account the fact that, because it's easier to flow when writing rhyming poetry, we have to try extra hard. Thanks for commenting!

    Beautiful

This was absolutly beautiful. You say you don't rhyme, but some of your flow has the odd and end in there that make it complete.
Although this is a little long for me to read, I really didn't mind and was sad to see it end.

Hey there. Thanks for the great comment and the applause. I'm so sorry you were in a hospital... I was in one once, and didn't like it too much... Anyways, glad you're better now.

    Ok points:

Basically we earn them by commenting on people's stuff, and by winning gold trophies. (Stories earn you more points, as well as the featured section located at the top right hand corner) The contest holders also give out points for silver and bronze sometimes (it's becoming more common now).

We can receive points from other people, if they choose to give us some. (I usually use the 'give points' form located in the 'help' section to do this; it is also how you send points to those winning silver and bronze trophies in a contest if you are the contest holder.)

We can use points to promote our poems/stories in the shameless promotion box or the featured section. We also use them to hold contests. (I've never used the shameless promotion, so don't ask me any details about that lol!) Basically that's what they are for.

There are also ways to actually buy points, but I don't see the need to do that, myself...

    Hope I could help!

    -morgana

p.s. yes I checked; I'm really only 14...going into grade nine...*high school* ah! lol

Hey there Morgana!Angel of Love is truly inspirational!!! Once again your words have painted a masterpiece. Each color, each phrase captured the purity of your thought. You are truly amazing!!!Are you sure you're only 14?Not that thats an issue,I just think you are an amazing talent.I would like to thank you for adding me to your faves list....I finally got yours on this evening....Not for any other reason then the fact that I have been in the hospital.I had blood and fluids on my lungs...a liter and a half... which they had to drain so I could breathe again.I don't want to go into massive detail because that's not what this about...it's all about you !!!!
Oh... can you possibly tell me what the points are for and what I should do with them....I hate to be stupid but I only started using a computer about 5 months ago!!!I'll be praying for ya!!!
