Don't Tell Them The Name Of Your God

We need a man
To represent a concept
A mindset bright orange
With ribbon flare off elbow in the wind
25 hour lipstick
Colored like sunlight
Who we feed spoonfuls of saffron
On sacred shrouds

We need a god
A god who has written
Who has written nothing
About nothing
For nothing all day
Who never had long hair
Who never ate fish
But lived decades by seaside
Through childhood
Through childhood

We need a rock
Who’s stone blind illiterate
Who chiseled the walls
And the words there within them
Who scratches your back
Who walks with an asper
Who listens to you sing
And just thinks you can’t whisper

We need a savior
Who never did nothing
For nobody nor negative
Not nowhere
Nor negative prayed on the helpless
Because they weren’t
Nor negative
But miniature
And a fabulous liar

We need a god
Someone new to talk to
Who’s got arms for every bed
We need a god
And his name will be secret
